CELEBRATING ===50 plus===YEARS!!!

That's right--Valley Council Credit Union is celebrating over 50 years of service to fourteen school districts and one private school. And we want YOU to help us celebrate. There will be alot of exciting things always happening throughout the year and you don't want to miss any of it. First of all, read the Newsletter you received with your quarterly statement OR you can read it online by looking to the left of this article and 'click' on newsletter.

A few events/celebrations are:

  • Scholarships - Applications are available in January each year. The Credit Union will award two $500 scholarships for post-secondary education in  2010. Refer to the application for qualifications. These same applications are forwarded to the Cincinnati Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League for their scholarship program. Watch for the 'Winter' edition of our newsletter for more information. You may pick up an application at the Credit Union office. Deadline this year is February 11, 2010.
  • You could be a winner of $50, if you find your account number in the Newsletter. The deadline for the "Summer" edition is August  16th. An account number is listed in each of our newsletters which are due out by the 10th of the first month of each quarter. Maybe it will be yours!!!! Click on the link to the newsletter on the left and look for your account number.

There will be more events through the year, so don't miss one edition of the quarterly newsletter and keep watching the Credit Union's website.

Here's a Perfect Gift Suggestion:
Your Credit Union

Are you finding it absolutely impossible to think of a unique gift for that ‘hard-to-buy-for’ brother/sister  or the child or grandchild with the overflowing toy box ?

Why not buy them a ’MEMBERSHIP’ in the credit union!!!! Since you are  a member of Valley Council Credit Union, you're eligible to share the benefits of ‘belonging to a Credit Union’ with your immediate family. So instead of a tie/sweater that will gather dust in the back of the closet or a toy that's forgotten in a few days, your gift can provide lifelong access to higher rates on savings , lower rates on loans, and friendly service. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving because as a financial cooperative, the credit union returns its profits to its members. Call or stop by the credit union to find out how easy it is to help your family members experience the credit union difference.

What ever the occasion whether it be Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation or a 'NEW' Birth, now is the time to open that account with a minimum of $5.00. Those who receive this ‘unique’ gift will be thanking you for the rest of their lives.

Also, keep your High School or College family member in mind, they will be eligible to apply for  post secondary Scholarship funds. They must be a member of VCCU to apply. Watch for full details in our Winter Newsletter and on our website.
